With the United States’ base mapping directory already preinstalled, the customers that purely desired to use this device to assist them in their fitness endeavors have become extremely satisfied; however, the customers that were looking for this device to assist them with their long distance driving, there is a slight complaint against the DeLorme Earthmate PN-40 Handheld GPS.

This device was originally designed to assist with fitness activities and general GPS, not long term driving; however, if you do desire to purchase this product and use it for such a task, then it would be wise to connect your computer to this device through its USB 2.0 system and download all of the extra maps required for this to be possible. All in all, we would love to recommend this product to anyone who may be in need of a highly sensitive GPS system! If you already own a powerful GPS system that meets your exploring needs, however, there might not be a real need to upgrade to the DeLorme Earthmate PN-40 Handheld GPS quite yet, though we would recommend purchasing this product the moment your previous GPS system begins to break down!
